About Elan Art

Hello, and welcome!

I'm the creator behind Elan Art, a small New Zealand business that has been evolving for nearly two decades.

My creative journey began back in 2006 as Elan tiles, where I hand-painted decorative ceramic tiles and personalised letterbox numbers. As my passion for art grew, so did my range. I went on to create canvas paintings, with my Highland cows and colourful pūteketeke and pūkeko artwork finding homes throughout New Zealand.

As life changed, so did my creativity. Today, Elan Art focuses on handcrafted jewellery, painted pebles, peg dolls, baby knitting and meaningful keepsakes.

One of my greatest joys has been discovering the world of painting on stones. It all started when I painted a few rocks for my grandchildren. What began as a simple project quickly became an obsession! I love transforming ordinary pebbles into tiny works of art, and they've become some of my most popular creations.

More recently, I have established a dedicated home studio where I create Memory Ash Jewellery in a quiet, private space. I understand how precious these pieces are, and having a dedicated studio allows me to give every memorial piece the care, respect and attention it deserves.

Giving back has always been important to me. All profits from my baby knitting are donated to Beanies for Babies, helping provide warm knitted items for newborns and families in need. I also donate a percentage of all Elan Art profits to Operation Zian, supporting their important work.

Every piece I create is handmade with care, whether it's a unique piece of jewellery, a painted pebble, a peg doll, or a treasured memorial keepsake. Thank you for supporting handmade, small business, and allowing me to share my creativity with you.
